Unary and Binary Operations
Binary Operations
A binary operation is an operation in which two elements of a set are combined according to a clearly defined rule.
The rule may be addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.
If such operations yield an answer that belongs to the original set, the set is said to be closed with respect to such operations and the property is called Closure Property.
Unary Operation
An operation on a single element of a set is called a Unary Operation.
If S is a non empty set, a function from S into S is called a Unary Operation on S. It is denoted by star (*).
